Men's Basketball Pulls Away for 84–74 Road Win
LA Pierce picked up a solid road victory Tuesday evening, defeating Oxnard 84–74 behind a balanced scoring effort and strong first-half play.
Pierce finished the night shooting 47.8 percent from the field and knocked down five of its 10 attempts from three-point range.
Mandell Anthony led all scorers with 29 points, going 11-for-19 from the floor while adding six assists. Milan Kis followed with 16 points, hitting three three-pointers and converting all three of his free-throw attempts.
DJ Maron-Gaines added 13 points, while King Miller and Kameron Fricks each chipped in 10 to round out a balanced offensive performance.
Pierce maintained its advantage in the second half, answering Oxnard runs with timely baskets and finishing 15-for-21 from the free-throw line to seal the win. The Brahmas also recorded nine steals and committed just nine turnovers on the night.
With the road win, Pierce continues to build momentum as conference play moves forward.
