The Pierce College football team hosted the Homecoming game this past Saturday, taking on Grossmont College in front of an energized crowd at Shepard Stadium.
Quarterbacks Adrian Anguiano and Roman Rough each threw touchdown passes. Anguiano connected with Fredrick Managan, while Rough found Malachi Williams in the end zone. Mark Wilson added another score to round out Pierce's offensive highlights. Managan delivered a standout performance, leading the team in tackles in addition to finding the end zone on offense.
Off the field, the Homecoming celebration captured the true spirit of Pierce College. The staff tailgate was a major success, bringing together faculty, students, and alumni for food, music, and camaraderie.
The Pierce swim team showed their support from the stands, and the cheer team delivered a high-energy performance that kept the crowd engaged.
While the scoreboard didn't favor the Brahmas, the atmosphere and effort made the day a win for the Pierce community.
Looking ahead, Pierce will travel to face Glendale Community College this Saturday, October 26, with kickoff set for 12 p.m.
