Pierce Baseball Erupts for 28 Runs in Wild Comeback Win Over LA Valley
Down early but never out, LA Pierce baseball delivered one of its most explosive performances of the season, storming back to defeat crosstown rival LA Valley 28–14 on the road.
Pierce found itself in an early hole after LA Valley jumped out to a 7–0 lead in the first inning, highlighted by a grand slam. Despite the deficit, the Brahmas stayed composed and began chipping away, putting up runs in the second, third, and fourth innings to close the gap.
The game flipped completely in the sixth inning.
Trailing 11–7 entering the frame, Pierce erupted for 16 runs in a single inning, turning the game on its head and seizing full control. The inning featured a relentless offensive surge with clutch hitting up and down the lineup, including multiple RBI singles, doubles, and capitalizing on defensive miscues.
Christian Santiago and Braden Sellz led the offensive charge, each driving in four runs, while Isaiah Chaves added a home run and three RBIs. The Brahmas finished with an impressive 26 hits and 28 runs, showcasing one of their most complete offensive outings of the year.
On the mound, Pierce battled through a tough start but found stability later in the game. Micah Klotz earned the win in relief, helping limit further damage and allowing the offense to take over.
After the sixth-inning explosion, Pierce continued to add insurance runs in the seventh and eighth, putting the game well out of reach despite a late push from LA Valley.
With their sixth straight win, Pierce improves to 13-10 overall and 5-4 in conference play, continuing their strong stretch as the season moves deeper into conference competition.
