Brahmas Cheer Finishes Fourth at Nationals, Caps Off Performance with Zero Deductions
Competing at Nationals in Daytona, the Los Angeles Pierce College cheer team closed out its season Friday with a strong performance in Finals, earning a fourth-place finish in its division and coming just two points shy of third.
More importantly for the Brahmas, the team accomplished the goal it had set from the beginning of the season, a performance with zero deductions.
After months of preparation, the Brahmas delivered their cleanest routine of the year on the Finals stage. The team and coaching staff left the competition proud of what they had accomplished, knowing they had put together the routine they had been working toward all season.
The Brahmas also received numerous compliments following their routine, with spectators and other teams recognizing the growth and improvement Pierce showed throughout the year.
That progress was one of the biggest takeaways from the season. From last year to this year, the team made significant strides in both its performance and confidence, continuing to build the program and raise the standard each time it took the floor.
Although the team will undoubtedly be feeling the effects of a long weekend of competition, the Brahmas will still be back in class and representing Pierce on campus.
The season may be over, but the foundation built this year gives the program plenty of momentum.
